Another Double Header!

Another weekend, another two weddings for Memory Lane Films! We had great fun filming the temple wedding of Baz and Neeru south of the border, before joining them for a beautiful, colourful reception at Riverside Venue . Great food, some very funny speeches and amazing dancing to the beat of the drums – it should all contribute to a great final film. Go here in a few weeks to see the results.

We were also in attendance at the wedding of Lorraine and Alvin at St. Patrick’s Church in Shotts. Lorraine and her bridesmaids looked stunning, and the boys all looked great in their kilts. Despite Father Brady being more than a bit eager to get off to watch the Heineken Cup Final, the ceremony was beautiful, and the ever changing Scottish weather changed in the right direction to allow for some great footage to be taken outside too. A great reception to follow (a big shout out to Craig and David, who were massively helpful in setting up and throughout the entire evening). Watch this space for some interesting moves on the dance floor (Russian dancing to Pencil Full of Lead and up-kilts [don’t ever make the mistake of trying to get low angle shots. ever] during Shake Your Tailfeather. Again, all the speechmakers did themselves proud – some very varied speeches (a juxtaposition of a beatuifully touching poem by John, the father of the bride and a cheeky [and slightly rigged} game of Wheel of Fortune from the best man).

All of the footage taken at both events will no doubt constitute excellent final films. Stay in touch with us through the usual channels – like us, follow us, share us, comment on us…post, tweet, nudge, etc, etc. We’ll be editing for the foreseeable future, but there’ll be plenty of sample footage, exported stills and other nuggets over the forthcoming weeks.
